The relocation to Spire West was very satisfactory. The Marvel Stone hotel was still under renovation and could not accommodate us; we were warned the day before departure, which was very late—those notes don’t count since we never saw Marvel Stone.

I was moved to the Legacy Hotel because the Marvel Stone is under renovation. The Legacy is great, even though the view of the pyramid looks out onto the street, and don’t forget that in Cairo the main transport is the klaxoon on the road. The staff are excellent and friendly. The rooms are well equipped. Just note that the Marvel Stone is currently closed.

The only good thing was that it faced the pyramids. The location is completely ruined and dirty… it’s even built over camel and horse stables. There’s no dining service at all.

Being just a stone's throw from the pyramids was a real perk, but the breakfast left a lot to be desired.
