The peaceful atmosphere was a welcome change from the usual road noise, but the bathroom was a letdown - it was a shower only, no bath, and the lack of a mirror above the sink was annoying. On top of that, there were some issues with the plumbing that caused a weird smell, and the bedding wasn't exactly spotless. Maybe we're just too used to European standards, but it felt like they could've done a bit more to make things right.
