“The view is the price for comfort, choose wisely”

The views were amazing, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the location was great for many activities, they offered electric scooters in good condition which was very handy, and the property was kept spotless with rooms cleaned twice a day. The biggest problem was the “eco‑cooling” AC that was barely cold, though they did bring us a fan which was a lifesaver because otherwise we’d have been miserable; even with the fan it was still uncomfortable. We didn’t spend much time on the property because the food cost five times what it does elsewhere and wasn’t good, plus they don’t let you bring your own water by the pool and charge $7 for a bottle that’s 50 cents elsewhere. The second, lower pool is more relaxing and has some shade, but there are no servers there, so you have to climb back up for overpriced water. We stayed at a 5‑star resort in Uluwatu at the end of our trip, where the restaurants were cheaper and the food was actually good.

The place feels really cozy, and you can use the pools after sunset too; the ocean view is great, and breakfast is very cozy. It’s just two minutes from the beach and sits at the end of a lively street. The staff are accommodating and really nice, and they gave me fresh aloe vera for my sunburn. The spa offers good massages, and I would recommend the larger rooms. The ocean‑view room I got first was not nice and too tiny, and it would be great if all rooms had at least one or two chairs or benches.

“Beautiful property, but scammy representation of what is considered ocean view.”

Good location, beautiful common areas, and good breakfast. Be careful when booking the Ocean View rooms; you may not actually get an ocean view. Several rooms line up next to the room under Watilan ocean view, and only two of them have an ocean view; the others only look at the internal pool. The staff keep convincing you that if you step out of the room and lean over in the common area you might see the view. No other rooms were available, so we ended up paying double for absolutely nothing. Felt quite scammy.
