The garden is lovely, very well kept and relaxing. The owner is extremely kind and very helpful. The beach is just a few steps away.

The place is fine. The rooms are spacious and the beach is within walking distance. The food is nicely prepared. However, the prices listed in the booking confirmation had nothing to do with what I was actually charged, which caused a misunderstanding when I received the bill and left me with a slightly bitter taste.

The garden is unbelievably beautiful, waking up in paradise every morning! Ellis/Zions Garden is a little outside the site and therefore wonderfully quiet. Ellis is creating a beautiful, peaceful place with great vibes. I felt like part of a family, and I especially liked the beach access. The food was unbelievably delicious—never had such tasty meals, even though I've eaten a lot in Ghana; this food is by far the best! Ellis is an admirable, incredibly creative person who has built his own paradise piece by piece—simply impressive. I recommend everyone coming to Ghana to visit Green Zion Garden in Butre.

Green garden, idyllic surroundings. The best place for birdwatching all day. Clay artisan buildings and many creative items to discover in the garden. Go to the river and find a canoe birding tour through a mangrove-rooted green jungle. Long beach, cool reggae music. Party at full moon if you’re lucky. The area is big enough to have distance to the party ground for sleeping. Charismatic owner. Self-cooked big and delicious meals, real coffee and a wide variety of teas. Cold beer and bar, big parking area. Not air-conditioned, but the ventilator is sufficient for a comfortable stay, soothing winds from the bay.
