The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was decent for the price, plus it’s only a five‑minute walk to a great Irish pub. The mattress felt too thin, the room had a slight damp smell, there was no lighting near the bathroom sink, and they didn’t offer complimentary water, but it was clean and functional, and you won’t find that combination for this price anywhere nearby.

The proximity to the Cumberland Island ferry was a big plus. Unfortunately, the room carried a vaping scent mixed with disinfectant or cleaning product trying to mask it, and it felt older and only suitable for a single night.

The night desk lady was very inconsiderate. The bathroom was messy, and the water squealed whenever the room next door flushed the toilet or turned on the shower.

The location was fine. The bedroom TV didn’t work properly, the bathroom cleanliness was lacking, and there was a musty odor.
