The bed is excellent, but the staircase is an issue.

The location was superb and the rooms were clean and pleasantly appointed, while the dining areas for breakfast, lunch and dinner were delightful. However, the extra bed they added to fit four people fell far short of expectations – even knowing it wouldn’t match the original, the noisy springs and hard mattress were disappointing. The staff also lacked courtesy when they charged me for a child’s dish as a full‑adult portion at dinner and when they billed me for coffee in the room that I had assumed was complimentary.
