It’s quiet and comfortable, and the remodel has progressed so well that the place looks terrific, though parking can be a bit tricky.

I discovered a beautifully renovated mid‑century hotel in The Dalles that made our first night on the road a real treat, with awesome beds and a lovely coffee shop—definitely a place I’ll return to, even though the parking spots are tight.
