I had a lovely time at Heladiv in Wilpattu; the staff were super friendly and eager to help, the safari tour we booked through the hotel was great, and the rooms were nice with air conditioning.

This is a top hotel – the pool is beautiful, breakfast is delicious, dinner choices are excellent, especially the curries, and the staff are very kind; it’s a bit farther from the city but taxis and tuk-tuks get you there easily.

What an amazing hotel! The staff were superb, so friendly and helpful; when we damaged our tuk-tuk a little, they immediately came to assist and tried to fix it, which was very kind. We ended up having dinner there every night because it was so nice, and I wish we could have stayed longer – everything was just perfect.

The staff were extremely courteous and warm; we felt very comfortable, and the chef helped us arrange a reliable tuk-tuk driver for a day.

A bit off‑center, so we ate on site, which was very good; the pool is small but there are loungers and space for everyone, and we regretted only staying one night. Walking along the lake, just 1 km away, gives access to a long riverside path.
