Views, views, and more views… the rolling hills never get old for me. I appreciated the owner’s personal greeting on our last day as we left; it felt warm and genuine. The stay felt too short; I wanted more time to picnic at the lake nearby.

Location, cleanliness, and organization were all good. We wish we had stayed longer. The doors were a bit loose, and there were no insect screens, but that’s normal in NZ and we understand.

A great escape in a stunning setting, ideal for families traveling between Auckland and a Hobbiton stop‑over. The only downside was that the bathroom had just one mirror; a full‑length mirror in a bedroom or the entry hall would have been nice.

The location and setup were solid. The front steps were too high; a rail would improve safety. Adding instructions for the air‑con and stove/oven would also add value.
