The location by the golf course with a view of the river is nice, but everything else is lacking: no service, only water and beer, nothing to eat, very remote, everything feels stripped down.

The old building is charming, rooms are well equipped and the staff is friendly. The grounds are tidy, there are plenty of outdoor seats and a nice pool overlooking the river where you can watch the sunset. The 9‑hole golf course is free, clubs and balls can be borrowed, and the gym is fully stocked. You have to plan ahead and either eat out or shop for food at the supermarket; a list of local restaurants that deliver is provided. In that sense it’s more of a B&B than a hotel. The large electricity pylon in the garden is a bit of a blemish on the scenery.
