The lodge sits right on the main street, so you can walk to the beach and other spots, and the staff are friendly. But the room had a strong mold smell that would be awful for allergy sufferers, and the bed was uncomfortable. The lodge is noisy, with loud activity from neighboring rooms and a lot of kitchen noise.

The lodge was flexible about letting us use the common area after check‑out, the breakfast was good, and the staff were polite.

It’s close to the beach, the staff are attentive, and everything was very clean. The only downside was the noise from the nearby school, especially on weekdays in the afternoon.
