The cottage was very comfortable and spacious, set in a lovely rural area yet close enough to shops and routes for exploring. The host met us and brought milk and bread, which was a nice touch. Everything else was great; the only small annoyance was that the toilet flush was rather weak.
“Loved it as did my family”
We stayed at Russelltown Cottage, and it was beautiful, clean, and welcoming, though there wasn’t enough marmalade.
“Warm homely cottage style guest house, "Country on the edge of town"”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming guest house, mainly due to its perfect location for walking enthusiasts like myself. The property's old-style interior decor and warm atmosphere, especially in the breakfast room, were major pluses, and I appreciated the ample parking for those with cars. The cleanliness was also top-notch. My only minor gripe was with the shower head, which was a bit tricky to get just right, but I managed to make do by taking a bath instead.
“Beautiful cottage - peaceful stay”
We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage for the long weekend. There were five of us in total. Two parents and three kids (including two teens). The house is beautifully furnished and has every amenity you could need. Dishwasher, washing machine, full kitchen, garden with table chairs, etc. The kitchen was very well equipped and the owner had even left us some bits to get us started. There was also a stocked bookshelf and dvds. Beds were very comfortable and well laid out. Also great WiFi. The entire place was spotless! Communication from the owner was great and the whole process was easy from start to finish. Location was lovely. Very peaceful, but close enough to shops, etc if you needed them. You will need a car though! Highly recommended!. Nothing
My stay had its ups and downs. The property's location was spot on, and I was impressed by the spacious rooms and well-equipped facilities, including a fully stocked kitchen. However, we encountered a few issues, such as a faulty lock on the main entrance and no welcome amenities like snacks or milk. To top it off, the power went out on our last day due to an issue with the energy meter, but the owner, Jacqui, did apologize and offer a partial refund.
