From the minute we arrived at Swaynekloof we were blown away by the breathtaking views. The farm has activities for you to do (hiking in the reserve, children can play in the river or visit Spoty the pig to give him the food leftovers). We loved our stay and Lea was the most lovely host, always there if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

Everything, I love nature/farms so this was paradise to me. I have been twice now, a few years apart and two different seasons (summer vs winter) and loved both experiences. It borders on a nature reserve which you can walk up to (bit steep in the beginning but a lovely hike after the initial bit which you can drive up). Listening to the crackle of the fire in the evening and the rain falling mixed in with the roars (of lions) from the neighboring nature sanctuary. Pure bliss. The accommodation I would describe as classy rustic, with all the creature comforts (lovely linen and anything you could really think to need). Its a simple, wonderful place to stay and I will definitely be coming back again.

The chalet was lovely, neat, and spacious, with electric blankets on the beds, fresh water, and firewood; Lea was a wonderful, friendly, caring host who made us feel at home. The views from inside and outside were beautiful, and we could hear the lions at the neighboring farm, which was amazing. We’ll definitely return when the weather improves so we can explore the reserve walks; overall it was great value for money, and nothing was wrong.

Lea is an amazing, caring host who instantly makes you feel at home. The cabin’s facilities are basic, exactly what you’d expect from a river cabin, but they’re highly functional. The tranquility, beauty and ambiance are priceless. We had a wonderful stay and would suggest it to anyone looking to escape everyday city life for a while in nature. The only downside was that the weather could have been better, which would have given us more time to explore the farm.

We stayed in the Heritage cottage and found the accommodation very comfortable, clean, and quaint. The farm and nature reserve are beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. Lea and Guy, the hosts, are friendly and welcoming. Our weekend on this working farm was perfect. Nothing comes to mind that we’d change; the accommodation and venue surpassed our expectations.
