I can understand why the ratings are so low; the first night we were put in a different room than the photos showed, with a door already damaged, no bathroom door, no mirror in the bathroom and a generally poor condition, plus no hairdryer or shampoo; they offered a different room for the second night, which matched the pictures but was already worn, doors needed to be slammed shut, the bathroom mirror was broken, and again there was no hairdryer or shampoo; only two rooms actually look like the online images, the rest fall short, the location is central opposite Maindock, the village is noisy every evening making sleep impossible without earplugs, a pool appeared unexpectedly (not listed) but the water was green so we didn’t use it, and overall the price we paid did not match the value we received.
