The location is great, just a few streets from the center—close enough to avoid too much street noise but still near museums, restaurants, and cafés. The hotel is lovely, with an eclectic style that mixes classic architecture, antique furniture, and modern décor details (paintings adorn the walls everywhere). However, despite the hotel’s beauty, several maintenance issues could be improved to avoid a sense of neglect: the room walls had poorly painted or patched spots, the shower drain didn’t drain properly, and the wooden door to the room jammed against the floor. Another drawback is that, although parking is advertised, it isn’t actually on site. There’s an agreement with a parking lot two houses away that costs $60 per night, and if you leave it during the day you pay by the hour. The hours are tied to their schedule: you can’t arrive after 8:00 PM at night and can’t leave before 8:00 AM in the morning. Sundays close early and holidays are closed. If you arrive and there’s no space, you can’t enter (they don’t reserve a spot). In short, if you’re driving, it could be a problem—factor in the extra cost and restricted hours.

The hotel is very well located, close to the historic center. The room had many moisture issues that weren’t addressed.
