The spot at the village entrance is ideal for luggage because the parking is outside. The view from the room and breakfast terrace over Volos is breathtaking. The place is charming and typical, and it’s very well positioned for pedestrian access to the village. The downside is that there are many stairs because the hotel is on a hillside; plan to travel light for this stay.

The view was beautiful and the breakfast was good. There were many stairs, the room was very small, completely awful, and we couldn’t move at all; it was old and needed renovation. The photos were misleading and there was no WiFi.

The accommodation was pretty, just 300 m from the central square of Makrinitsa. The room was spotless, with a balcony and a wonderful view of the Pagasitikos and the city of Volos. What really mattered to me was the quiet, even though there were a lot of people because of the August 15 holiday. The breakfast was excellent and every day there were delicious Pylio‑receptic pies. It was very nice and well‑spoken, and the hotel bar was great for a quiet drink. Bonus: the always‑smiling housekeeper. Overall, a perfect choice!

We can’t find words to describe our experience at this place. The hosts were not just excellent, I’m not sure what else to say about these people. They welcomed us with incredible warmth and kindness and were always eager, friendly and helpful regarding activities we could do. Breakfast was delicious. The room was amazing with an outstanding view and spotless. We were saddened to leave but we’re certain we’ll return. The best place to stay in Makrinitsa. Thank you, George and Eva, for everything. The facilities are flawless and the location is incredible; the pictures speak for themselves. The breakfast is among the best and most complete we’ve ever had. Also, Ms. Eva who runs the whole place is amazing and a very pleasant person. Ask her for anything you need, she will solve all your problems!
