Very nice hotel, room very pleasant and clean. Gorgeous bathroom, great pool and environment. The taxi cost is not through the hotel; the village offers many more interesting options.

“Paraíso”

The location was calm and the site was peaceful. The staff at reception seemed to be constantly chatting and didn’t feel very welcoming; we didn’t get any important information when we asked.

“Quiet Retreat”

I walked down the “tourist street” from town and found the villa close to warungs and restaurants, a quiet spot with a lovely pool and a fantastic restaurant that served a fabulous breakfast and a dinner with entertainment. The location is quiet – Sideman has little to offer beyond a basic through‑town, so if you arrive without transport it’s a great place to relax, but staying more than two nights or staying in town means the walk outside can be noisy and unpleasant. Otherwise, it’s a solid spot to explore the picturesque countryside and waterfalls. People say it’s Ubud 20 years ago, so it’s mostly places to stay and a few restaurants overlooking the valley – some of the best on our journey. There are no yoga classes, gyms, hipster cafés or smoothie bars, which is a relief. The only downside was a bit of downstairs smoking; I wish people would smoke outside instead of inside the villa, as it affected those upstairs. Privacy could be better – a bit more planting would block neighbour’s views. The safe was locked, didn’t work, and wouldn’t open when we called.

“Beautiful resort nearby rice paddies”

We had once again a wonderful stay at Sawah Indah. This was our 3rd visit to this resort. Our small bungalow with stoep area was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was superb with good food choices and the portions were big. It was nice to relax at the pool area. The view is spectacular. This resort is peaceful and a must place to visit if you are looking for tranquility and want to rest after a day's outing. Definately recommended to fellow travellers
