The staff were friendly and helpful, even upgrading me to complimentary breakfast and doing my laundry every other day without me asking. I expected a self‑service laundry, but housekeeping collected my clothes during their daily cleaning and returned them washed, dried, and folded within two hours. I appreciated the gym, which is rare in a non‑corporate Chinese hotel. The hotel far surpassed my expectations, especially compared to a nearby competitor I usually book through my family, where rooms were less clean and staff less friendly. The downside was that many guests smoked in the hall or their rooms, and the scent drifted into my room. Trying to use the app for room service and other services was frustrating because it required a Chinese phone number, which I didn’t have.
