I had the best time at Happy Hammocks Hiriketiya. It is a very social and chill hostel which plans an activity every day. These you can attend to get to know the other guests and is an all together positive atmosphere. From family dinners to movie nights, the owner takes in account the preference of his guests. Overall the hostel is very clean and the staff does an amazing job to keep it that way

The hostel staff were friendly, the room air‑conditioner worked well, and the cleaning was thorough. The walk from Hiriketiya’s center to the hostel is quite uphill, but we liked that the restaurants around were cheaper and tastier than in the city center. It was also nice that they lent towels if you paid a deposit. The facilities, such as the shower room, were noticeably old, though the place stayed clean.

They offered filtered water and the beds were quite nice for a hostel. The staff were a bit confusing; one guy told us one thing while a lady contradicted him.

Staying at Happy Hammocks was amazing. Harshit and everyone else created such a comfortable space, and I enjoyed the social events the hostel organized. We met so many nice people that the whole stay felt even better! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Hiriketiya.

A very social hostel with daily activities, a chill area, and a pool table; I made great friends here. The facilities are nice, the beds comfortable, the AC good, and the beach is just a 5‑minute walk away. Big thanks to Luna and Harshit!
