Juli and his family were wonderfully hospitable, kind and helpful throughout our trip – we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Juli drove us to multiple tourist sites, helped with tickets, cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner – it felt like we were in a family home being looked after by our parents! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Juli recommended the jinchangling wall, drove us there, walked us all the way up, accompanied us to the cable car, and waited at the gate for us to finish – that was the highlight of our trip. You can see they genuinely love and take pride in caring for others. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the family always asked what time we wanted food – I've never been catered to so well! All of this at an affordable price. If you're staying in Gubei Watertown, you must stay with this wonderful family.

The hosts were very welcoming, offered food service, and arranged transportation to Gubei Water Town. The distance to Gubei Water Town is far, and driving in and out of the community incurs extra charges. The room is small, luggage can only be stored in the hallway, and there’s no extra storage space in the room (such as a table, chair or cabinet). The bathroom’s clean towels are placed on a moving iron ladder, and there’s no place to put replacement clothes, nor a dry‑wet separation. If you plan a night tour of Simatai, it’s better to stay directly in Gubei Water Town for convenience.

The staff were super friendly, almost like family. They made us feel right at home and were always ready to help. It turned out to be one of the best stays I’ve had in China.

The staff were really kind and helpful, always ready with a smile. They were attentive, but there were a few things they didn’t get around to. Still, it was a pleasant visit overall.
