Staying on the fourth floor, I found the door handle overly loose, which made the room feel insecure.

The location was superb, right in the city centre so getting anywhere was easy; even though the night market was a fair walk it didn’t bother me, and the staff dealt with any issues quickly and decisively, which was great. On the downside the cleanliness left a lot to be desired – the towels showed mildew spots, the bathroom was moldy in several places, the walls looked worn with leftover glue, the floor was littered with sand and hair, and the desk was oddly placed against the wall. They also asked guests to sort their trash but only provided a single bin, so an extra bin or bag would have helped. To make matters worse, the neighbours were holding a funeral during my stay and I wasn’t warned beforehand, which was a bit unsettling even though it didn’t ruin the visit.
