“Not good value for what is quite an expensive stay.”

The common areas were lovely, but our room (In the Heat of the Night) was not great. There were no glasses in the room, no cups at the coffee station, and we couldn’t adjust the room temperature. There was no plug in the basin, the hot tap produced blackish water, and TV stations were limited.

The manor is splendid, the host very warm, the rooms charming, and the breakfast delicious. We loved our short stay at this establishment!

The house is impressive, very pretty, and centrally located. I didn’t like that my keys got lost (an accident that can happen to anyone) and that the staff saw my WhatsApp and ignored me (while we were in the same building); we had to go to a gas station to call an American phone and they were quite angry… if you work in a hotel, you should handle it without getting mad. Then they charged me $50 to the card without speaking to me face‑to‑face, just leaving a note under the door. The proper approach would be to talk to me and tell me you’re going to charge me now. The service was very bad; that night we struggled to communicate because of the keys, and we could barely sleep in the room… for the more than $400 you pay, the service was terrible.

“Top!”

The style of the house matched our visit perfectly because of the Vampire Diaries theme. Breakfast was delicious! And it was very close to Covington’s center.
