I was back for the second time, so I knew what to expect, but the patio area was still dirty when we arrived, clearly it hadn't been cleaned in months.

The front‑road location is great, though a little noisy, and the large room on the first floor, just above the shops and directly opposite the windsurfing arena, has a big patio with full‑wall doors that hadn't been cleaned for months. The sunset view is obscured by cables, trees and lampposts. The A.C. worked well, and the TV was fine when we plugged in a Firestick to watch international channels. The room came with a kettle and microwave, but there was no tea, coffee, milk, sugar or spoons—bring your own. We spent the first hour sorting out the wardrobes, drawers and bathroom because they hadn't been cleaned in months; we stayed for seven nights. The patio doors were still dirty, and the access to the room involved a confusing maze of stairs and walkways. The first two nights had no Wi‑Fi, which we eventually paid for. The desk where you make drinks is worn and has wooden splinters. Exposed cables for the bathroom extractor fan would be illegal in most countries. The bathroom floor stayed wet due to drainage problems, a squeegee would have helped, and the mirror was rusty. We had to empty the room bin and refill the water because cleaning was sporadic—only a few rooms were rented out in mid‑November.
