Candlelight Lodge, situated in Thredbo, boasts stunning views of the mountain ski slopes. Spacious rooms feature free Wi-Fi, private en suite bathrooms, Smart TVs, and small refrigerators. The lodge offers a restaurant, bar, and lounge area with an open fireplace, as well as an in-house massage therapist, sauna, and drying room for skiing equipment, all within 100 metres of Thredbo Village Square.

The view and location were nice, but the breakfast was only okay, most staff were absent, there was no on‑site parking, and room essentials were never restocked.

The cutlery and hand towels could use a lift—tablecloths would really change the vibe. The bare wood and cutlery in containers make a premium establishment feel cheap. The rooms also needed a touch of care: no milk in the fridge, one ceiling light was out, a shower tap came loose, and there were no batteries for the remote. On the bright side, the wrong order was a minor hiccup, but the old lodge itself was lovely, the big suite was great, the views were fantastic, the location was perfect, and the atmosphere was friendly.
