Hotel Turnerwirt, a 3-star family-run hotel since 1437, is 2 km from Salzburg's centre. The hotel features a cocktail bar, children's playroom, and villa with terrace. Modern rooms have a bathroom and satellite TV. Private parking is charged, and free WiFi is available. A gravel track with pedal cars and ticket sales for tours and transport add to its charm.

The reception staff were extremely friendly! Parking was only 8 € per night, and we also received passes for free public transport, which was very useful. Overall, the hotel was nice and the atmosphere great. I definitely recommend both the hotel and its bar (especially the cocktails)! :)

Breakfast cost 16 € and there was no championship.

The bus stop was right outside the hotel and made it very easy to get into the city centre, and there was also a great car park for guests. The staff were friendly, but the hotel was very outdated, noisy, had no kettle or fridge in the room, a broken shower screen, and a very tiny bathroom. The beds were very soft and not comfortable.

The receptionist was rude and the customer service terrible. We were a group of four and simply asked if a larger room was available. Instead of a professional reply, he said, “Please don’t peep into the other room and ask for a bigger room.” That was an unnecessarily insulting and condescending way to speak to paying guests. We asked a simple question, and there was no justification for that response. A lack of available rooms is understandable, but a lack of basic manners is not. No guest should feel foolish or humiliated for inquiring about room options. A receptionist who can’t handle a straightforward question politely is a serious letdown for any hotel. Management should seriously reconsider how guests are treated at the reception. First impressions matter, and ours were thoroughly unpleasant. We expected basic courtesy and professionalism, not sarcasm and disrespect. Unfortunately, the receptionist’s behaviour left a very negative impression of the hotel. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so that other guests do not have a similar experience.
