The location was ideal for visiting Ueno and Asakusa, and public transport links to other sights were easy. The apartment was very spacious, the beds super comfy, and all amenities were present. The manager, who was number 10, let us in at 8:00 am, which was a lifesaver because we had left our apartment in Shinjuku that day and wanted to explore Ueno, Asakusa, and Akihabara; without that early check‑in we’d have missed the day. Everything seemed fantastic.

The place sits right next to Ueno station, the rooms were clean, the AC worked, and the beds were big and comfy. Checking in and out was a breeze. However, the room felt a bit cramped for four people, the kitchen lacked basic tools like knives and there weren’t enough plates or bowls for everyone. The street noise was a problem—especially from Sunday to Monday when trucks rattled through the night and the windows didn’t block the sound, despite the listing claiming soundproofing.

“Nice stay in quiet neighborhood that requires a lot of walking to train stations.”

I stayed in a quiet residential area, about a 10‑15 minute walk from various train stations, with a grocery store and plenty of 7‑11s nearby. It was one of the few places where I could book a single room for my family of four (one double bed and a single bed with a pull‑out trundle). The value was good. Coin laundry is on the first floor. There’s no reception; you just use a key code to enter. The location was a bit far from the stations, and the room felt a little tight when the trundle was pulled out, but it was nice to have everyone together instead of booking two rooms.
