“Poor smelly room bad bed very noisy didn’t sleep”
The spot was great, smack in the middle of old town. There’s no front desk, just a phone number on the inner door; if you can get in, there’s no sign saying “we’re here.” Luckily we asked a local and they showed us the entrance. The place is dated, the bed was old and rickety—every time one person moved, the other bounced. The window didn’t close, the room smelled damp and musty, there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms so we had to buy a towel that was barely larger than a face cloth. No one was on duty, and there was a lot of noise from other guests late at night in the corridors. When I stepped out at 1 am to use the bathroom, 6–7 people were standing in the corridor outside our room chatting and munching; this happened three more times during the night/early morning.
