When I got to the hotel late in the evening, the staff were super helpful, taking me straight to my room so I could unwind and even brought my ordered meal right to the room. The lentil curry was tasty, and there were plenty of other options, including burgers and pancakes. I slept well on both nights, though the mattresses were on the firmer side—depends on your taste. Finding the hotel was a bit confusing at first, but locals pointed me in the right direction. My room and bathroom were very clean. The beach is just a two‑minute walk away. Nancy and Beatrice were very helpful and ready to answer any questions. I definitely recommend staying here.

Nancy, the manager, is fine, but everything else is terrible. First, the hotel is nowhere near the beach—at least a 10‑minute walk. The tiny balconies have no chairs and literally overlook a local washroom, so if you don’t excuse yourself you can see people bathing. Weeds are overgrown, the grass hasn’t been cut in months, and there are so many mosquitoes that they even offer thorn mosquito nets. The bed collapses when you sit on it, making sleep impossible; there are no duvets or blankets. The sink has a hole that drips water into the washroom like an open tap. In 2026, they told a guest not to flush tissues but to put them in an open bin next to it—how is that hygienic? The hammocks and woven chairs are filthy, especially the inner cushions. The deluxe room has no bulbs outside, let alone inside, and that’s their biggest room, so that says something. They took pictures of the beach from a neighboring hotel called Busua Beach Resort; the photos are heavily doctored. The outside bar doesn’t exist because they lost their license. After a 12‑hour journey from Akosombo, I cried the whole night.
