The hotel's beautiful old building is a real draw, but unfortunately, it's let down by some pretty basic issues. For starters, there's no safe in the room, and the common areas are a bit too big. But the real problem is the way the place is run – it feels like they're making a few deliberate choices that are holding it back.

I was really charmed by the hotel's old-school vibe, with plush carpets that helped muffle outside noise. However, the staff seemed a bit stiff, lacking the warmth you'd expect from Thai hospitality.

I was really impressed with this hotel – everything was spotless, the bed was super comfy, and the breakfast was amazing. The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is that the rooms aren't soundproof, so you can hear everything going on outside – and even in other rooms. It was a bit of a problem, especially at night.

Our room was spacious and clean, but the common areas were a bit of a letdown - they looked old and neglected. Breakfast was okay, but the selection was mostly geared towards locals, with fewer options for international guests.
