Unfortunately I can't rate this hotel because they cancelled my booking the day before for 2 rooms and restaurant. Completely spoilt my stay in a hotel in North Yorkshire then night before. They didn't offer a good explanation
It was closed upon arrival. I was booked in for two nights I arrived at 1pm to find the premises closed. I received an e mail informing me of its closure at 3.07pm on the day of arrival having travelled 3 hours. I was informed locally that the premises have been closed for 10 days which certainly appeared to be the case as the premises was completely abandoned with nobody on site. Very poor customer service, obviously would not return
“horrible unwelcoming experience.”
We got huge towels and extra pillows, but the staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly. It was a last‑minute booking and the website said the restaurant stayed open until 9pm, yet we were turned away at 8.15pm with no sandwich offered and no alternative dining suggestions. The property is in the middle of nowhere, so we drove 20 minutes before spotting any other eateries. My husband, who has a noticeable limp, received no assistance. We were taken to a room with a small window and an approximate temperature of 42 degrees, no ice, and a bottle of warm tap water. The bed had a thick winter quilt—completely uncomfortable. The TV was broken, there was no air conditioning, and the receptionist mentioned a fridge that turned out to be two corridors away, holding only a small amount of fresh milk. I complained the next day, but got no reply, proving how little they care. Avoid at all costs.
“No stay due to a fire at the hotel”
The hotel cancelled all bookings because of a fire and I’m waiting for a refund; nothing was handled correctly, it was cancelled by the hotel.
“Top! Immer wieder gerne!!!”
