The photos were misleading—there’s no pool or chill‑out area except for the weed shop/reception downstairs and four chairs outside. The top bunk was the worst bed I’ve ever slept in, too high, no curtain for privacy, no secure place to leave things, and no charging ports.

The building and all rooms were accessible without a key or key card, so the security of belongings was a concern.

An older lady working there was very friendly, the location was great, and there’s a nearby hostel whose pool you can use; the place was clean. However, there was no security for guests—you could walk right in without being stopped and the dorm doors had no locks. There was also nowhere to lock your bags or curtains on the beds. It cost me £50 a night, and I didn’t like the mixed dorms; on my last night a 40‑year‑old man was sharing a room with me, which made me feel uncomfortable. The toilets were poorly maintained, with many times no toilet roll and overflowing bins full of used toilet paper.

The people were lovely, the location was good, the room was comfy and the bathroom was very clean. The shower head wasn’t very good, there was no drinking water to fill up bottles, and the pillow was very hard.
