The cottage was very well equipped and the surroundings were beautiful; the staff were friendly when we arrived, but the curtain on the door didn’t fit and we could hear neighbours through the walls.

What a gem in the Elgin valley! The lake‑view room was absolutely therapeutic, with ducks, birds, nature, a lovely lake and peace and quiet; the braai facilities were great and everything inside felt luxurious, even the Mellerware induction plate matched a Mellerware pot. The bed was amazing—I’ll have to return just to lie on it all day! No TV, which worked for me, and a cozy little fireplace inside. The whole farm was well maintained and tidy. Milandi was wonderful and warm, making us feel at home from the first minute. I recommend this beautiful place to everyone! PS. Mr Silver has a kolkol—maybe I’ll try that next! Thanks, Mr Orange, for recharging me! The only downside was having to share our peace and lake with other guests when they arrived 😄
