Room/Suite Tournesol was nice and spacious, with a blend of old and modern décor, and breakfast was top. The bed was a bit less than ideal; it was just a box with a topper. I expected a more luxurious, better‑lying mattress.

“Heerlijk!”

The staff were guest‑friendly, the room was functional and stylishly furnished while keeping authentic building elements, and the breakfast was tasty and fresh. The place was well‑maintained and very clean—great. The surroundings are beautiful. The bedding was a bit too synthetic and therefore very warm, and there were no hooks for wet towels.

Breakfast was good, and the room was lovingly decorated. It’s small but very practical. The shower was great, and there was enough space to park bikes. The nearby castle is charming. The location in a small town is something you have to like; it was very quiet and suitable for a overnight stay after a bike tour, but a weekend felt too long for me.

We were welcomed warmly with a drink on the terrace. We stayed in the Hortensia room—nice, large, with a huge bathroom. There’s a place to make coffee and tea, and you can also use a bar‑style counter at reasonable prices. In the evening we ate at the Proeflokaal; it was delicious for a good price. The surroundings are lovely, and the breakfast is extensive and very tasty. The under‑bed linens weren’t to my liking, but otherwise nothing to complain about.
