“Im Großen und Ganzen ein gelungener Aufenthalt”
The quiet setting close to the beach, forest paths and the center of Ahus was nice, and the accommodation was large and modern. After not using the toilet for a while, it smelled terrible, there were too few places to hang towels, and the apartment could have been cleaner and better maintained, although it still looked fairly new.

The accommodation was close to the beach, which was very convenient. The interior is old but fine for settling in. There is enough storage space and a roomy kitchen.

The location in the forest with squirrels and hares was great, just a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately, it wasn’t clean; dirty dishes and only an old, completely scratched frying pan that stuck everything to it. We had visited several accommodations on our trip through southern Sweden, including First Camp, but this was the worst and still the most expensive of all. A pity. The staff were very nice and we didn’t have to pay for the final cleaning.

All textiles (curtains, shower curtains, bed, sofa) in the cabin smelled of cigarette smoke and the cleaning was not up to standard (if it even happened). Hair was in the shower, all floors were dirty, dishes on the shelves were dirty, and the sofa was filthy and full of hair. The coffee maker had looked better before and would need to be replaced.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, check‑in was prompt, and we had booked a dog‑friendly bungalow and paid the fee on arrival. Even with many campers around, it was quiet, clean, close to the beach and town centre. The bungalow was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and even had floor heating. I liked the dog‑walking areas, the reception shop where you could buy coffee and pastries. We only stayed three days because of work, but would have loved to stay longer. The people were very friendly and welcoming. We first tried the key tag to open the boom gate to our accommodation but after several attempts it didn’t work, so we went back to reception where they gave us a card key without issue. Previous guests left a lot of rubbish, such as beer cans and food wrappers near the bungalow outside the deck, and even a discarded rawhide bone.
