Located 50 meters from Tofta Beach on Gotland Island, Tofta Strandpensionat offers free Wi-Fi, private bathrooms, and desks in its rooms. A 7-minute drive from Visby Golf Club, the guest house serves a buffet breakfast daily and features an in-house restaurant during high season. On-site amenities include boulé courts, beach volleyball, a terrace, and a common room with sofas, TV, and board games.

The location was good, the beds were nice, and the large common room was appreciated, but the sheets smelled like perfume (which I am sensitive to) and the TV wouldn’t turn on.

We stayed there over the weekend, exactly what we imagined for a beach‑side hostel: just a few steps from the sea, slow mornings sipping coffee while watching waves, and sunsets over dinner; the place feels like an old summer/winter cabin but the kitchen is well equipped and cooking was part of the fun; we were in September during low season, so we almost had the place to ourselves—a huge plus; there was no staff on site over the weekend, but we received all the information needed beforehand, so there was no problem at all; we had a fantastic stay!

I booked because of the location right by the sea, but unfortunately there was no pool; the evening outdoor service was cozy, breakfast was fine, the staff were friendly, and I appreciate the simplicity of the accommodation—very close to nature. The only downside was that, given how beautiful the setting is, an upgrade or renovation of the lodging would be welcome.

I stayed in a lovely place 100 meters from the sea, with very attentive staff; they swapped our first room for another with a larger shower-toilet area at no extra cost. Thank you! However, in the hottest summer months, installing air conditioning might be a good idea.
