We had everything we needed; the bed frame was large and hit my leg twice, so a few comfy chairs would have helped after a long journey. The dining set was minimal: only two plates, two side plates, two knives and forks, no knives for cutting bread or meat, no cheese slicer, and just one tiny sachet of dish soap.

Nothing. We were asked about card details on arrival even though we had already paid by booking dot com, just in case to cover if something is broken, never been asked about card details on any stays with booking dot com. That was upsetting before we entered the room, microwave was stinking bad, drawers were smelling. Couldn’t go to sleep at night as something on rooftop was moving probably tree branches. Worst stay ever 😒

The staff greeted us warmly and were very helpful. The room was spotless and cozy, and the property sits in a peaceful, quiet spot.

We appreciated the historic charm of the building and its location, plus the lovely grounds. However, the plumbing in the walls and roof required serious attention; the constant knocking, vibration, and thumping persisted all day and most of the night, which really turned us off. We probably won’t return.
