The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The apartment’s location was great and the parking was very convenient. The pool and outdoor spaces were lovely, and privacy and quiet were excellent.

The place was very quiet and pleasant, cleaned daily, with pool and parking access; communication with hosts was very polite and discreet, and the location was convenient for island travel. However, the price felt a bit high for the standard, especially during peak season, and the cleaning, while adequate, could have been more thorough in wardrobes and drawers.

The bungalow was very clean and spacious, the facilities were nice, the outdoor area was exceptional, and parking posed no problem.

Quinta de Santa Bárbara offered a lovely apartment that was nicely decorated, with a full kitchen stocked just like at home—fridge, microwave, oven, kettle, dishes and an electric cooktop. The modern bathroom was spacious and even had a wall‑mounted shampoo dispenser, though a few more towel hooks would have been handy. There were two bedrooms, each with air‑conditioning, plus AC in the living room, and a selection of pillows ranging from firm to soft and thin to thick. Blackout curtains were provided for side sleepers, and the wardrobe was ample. Overall the flat felt fresh, modern and clean. A private terrace with seating and a large umbrella let us enjoy the sunshine, and we could even hang a card on the door to request or decline housekeeping. The staff were very friendly and helpful; when we arrived early because of our flight, they let us store our luggage in a locked area so we didn’t have to lug it around. A few minor issues arose that they couldn’t fix on the spot, but they were dealt with immediately. Service was excellent. The “Mini resort” beside the apartment was also nice, with laundry facilities (machines and detergent for a fee), sauna, Turkish steam room, gym, a nice pool with a children’s area, Jacuzzi and two BBQ spots, all set in well‑maintained green surroundings. An electronic gate you can operate yourself adds a sense of security. All in all, a fantastic place for our family of four, and we’ll definitely try to book here again on our next visit to São Miguel.
