“Unter diesen Umständen nie wieder”
The houseboat’s location in the harbor and the kitchen’s equipment were fine, but the boat itself was just filthy. Outside, spiderwebs greeted us and the outdoor cushions had various stains. Inside, the couch, rug, and a sheet were all spotted, and the strip of floor near the bathroom was downright disgusting. We weren’t alone inside either; more spiderwebs and a big spider hovered around. It seemed like the previous guests’ spices, noodles, etc. had been stored there for months. The reception was not very welcoming; we weren’t told where the houseboat was and received no friendly words. There was also no notice that the property could only be exited with a gate code if we checked out before 9 am, a detail we discussed explicitly with the staff member. We’re still hoping the owners will accommodate us and refund a large part of the price.
