“Ich würde gerne nochmal Zeit dort verbringen, wenn ich weiß welcher Zustand mich erwartet.”
The whole property, with its varied accommodations, feels very idyllic, though the boat was positioned differently than in the booking photo of the bedroom view by the lake. The staff were very friendly, but I wanted to withdraw and needed quiet, so I didn’t seek much interaction. I was very disappointed with the condition of the houseboat: you pay the full price and receive no notice about wear or needed repairs. The kitchen cabinets no longer worked properly, which was very annoying; a window fell out when ventilating (the reception replied it’s a typical issue on houseboats); the door lock came loose; the TV shelf’s wiring was broken; the bar stools had broken levers and couldn’t be adjusted; and worst of all, the vinyl floor in the main living area was completely broken and snapped with almost every step, leaving me stuck on edges with my shoes and socks. In my view, it shouldn’t have been rented in that state. I had been looking forward to the peace and environment for my birthday after stressful work periods, and I simply didn’t have the nerves to confront the staff about it, which ruined my mood and calm. It was generally nice, but not worth the price. I handed over the repair card, which was filled out in the houseboat for guests, upon departure. It was very full, and I expected some response or apology, but there was none. I also didn’t like that the outdoor furniture had been taken away from the roof; I had almost every day sunshine and wanted to sit up there. That’s supposed to be included in the price, and the description doesn’t say it’s removed seasonally. There are also cover plans. Additionally, the outdoor area wasn’t swept before my arrival; leaves were everywhere, not just in the last three days. I noticed that before the weekend, when more guests arrived, other accommodations had been swept again.
