I enjoyed a lovely two‑night stay at the Royal Albion Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the kind gesture of upgrading my room to one with a beautiful sea view. The traditional English breakfast was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I would happily stay here again!

We’ve stayed here before and the staff were as helpful as always; the breakfast waiter was especially patient with everyone. The hotel feels like a friendly community spot with plenty of space to sit and enjoy a light snack or a meal. My bedside lamp was broken, but after we returned from a meal out, a staff member swapped in a new bulb—thanks for that quick fix. We each had a comfortable chair to relax in. However, we were assigned the same room we had in Jan 2025, complete with the cracked washbasin. Some furniture looked worn, and the carpet had stains in a few spots. The duvet on the queen‑size bed was so heavy that we woke up repeatedly to adjust it, disrupting our sleep. The banisters on the stairs leading to our room felt greasy and sticky.

The sea view from the room was wonderful, the bed was comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. The original attractive staircase was negotiated with great care by an elderly gentleman (77) in the absence of a lift.
