Nestled in Sant'Ellero, Agriturismo Petrognano occupies a historic villa overlooking rolling Tuscan hills. Guests enjoy a crystal‑clear pool, sun terrace, and manicured garden. Family rooms feature private baths, kitchenettes, and free WiFi. On‑site tennis, barbecue, and picnic spots complement hiking trails and proximity to The Mall Luxury Outlet (7 km) and Piazzale Michelangelo (26 km).

The surroundings are exceptional, in a quiet area close to Florence and well connected. The facilities are tidy and the staff are very attentive. The apartment is very nice, spacious, and well maintained. The kitchen appliances are a bit scarce, a larger fridge would be better (the one for four people is small), and another sofa for more seating would help – there was only a two‑person sofa. The rest were chairs.

I stayed at a lovely house surrounded by olive groves, where peace and quiet were palpable. The spacious home had everything needed for a wonderful few days, and the host was extremely friendly and attentive, ready to help with anything. I didn't find anything I didn't like.

The estate sits on a hilltop with a great pool and beautiful views; a tennis court is just a short walk away. Niccolò is a very pleasant and dedicated host who always responds quickly via WhatsApp. Our apartment spread over two floors, connected by a narrow spiral staircase that feels a bit tight—probably not ideal for larger people. Niccolò offers his own products, such as good olive oil, and also sells wine from other farms. Parking is free at Sant Ellero, and we took the train to Florence. The location is also convenient for trips into northern Tuscany or hikes, for example at the Vallombrosa monastery. However, Niccolò, you promised to look after the bathroom: replace the shower hose, fix the glass shelves, and add a few more towel holders—four people found the existing ones insufficient. The kitchen could be better equipped: a dish brush, a sponge, dishcloths, and more drying towels would be great.

The place is secluded, traffic-free, with deep silence—a real slice of paradise. Mr. Niccolò was extremely courteous, welcomed us into his property, and shared valuable information about the area and nearby attractions. We didn't bother looking for entertainment elsewhere because the property has a beautiful pool, plenty of greenery, a tennis court, walking trails, and a great barbecue setup. The apartment was truly huge, much larger than the photos suggested, and came fully equipped with linens, air conditioning, dishes, cutlery, glasses, and impeccable cleanliness. Thanks to Niccolò for a wonderful holiday; we’ll definitely return.
