This is my toughest review – on one hand the place is absolutely enchanting, on the other hand there are a lot of shortcomings and an overall feeling of neglect. The accommodation has a great location, a very nice terrace, an inner block with a beautiful grown tree, comfortable seating, and the place has its own genius loci. The manager is helpful and cares for guests. Free tea is always available. On the downside, there is pervasive dirt and the room furniture is uncomfortable, especially the extremely uncomfortable and sagging beds. The bathroom feels neglected. Breakfast was not very good and did not feel fresh at all. Card payments are not possible. I do not regret staying here, but I would probably choose something else next time.

Arriving early on an overnight train, the staff were very accommodating. The courtyard setting is unusual and breakfast on the top floor offers a view of the Registan. The location is great, just a short walk from the Registan. The shower took a long time to heat up.

The host was amazing and very friendly, letting us stay on the ottomans in the common area until late while we waited for our train; the atmosphere feels very oriental and the breakfast with the view is great—highly recommend! Some bathrooms need attention and a bit of renovation.
