The room was icy and clean, but the door was difficult to open and close; we had to pull hard and even kick it to get it open.

The room had Smart TVs that let me log into Amazon and coffee was available 24/7, but roaches were present and we were charged for damage that had already been left by the previous guest. The LED strip under both beds was ripped, only half worked, and the bathroom door was reportedly damaged after we had left it open for three nights. I had my reservation scanned, yet the front desk clerk looked up my phone number, retrieved my card details from a past stay, double‑charged me, and refused to refund the extra amount.

I didn’t like anything about the stay. The initial room had a wet, foul‑smelling carpet, and I called the third‑party provider for a refund. Jason at the front desk booked me into another room, but after sitting down to dinner at 9 pm I discovered mold everywhere on the vent and presumably in the room. When I asked for a refund and a move, Jason promised a clean room but I ended up in another moldy one. The vents were covered in mold, I had to wake early to test the air and just turned it off to try to sleep. For $300 a night in Abilene, Texas, this room should have been spotless—terrible experience.

Everyone was super friendly and the place is right next to a bunch of shops and eateries, but we stayed two nights and nobody asked if we wanted fresh towels or to take out our trash.
