The location was good. I didn’t get a better view from my balcony; I could only see the top of a building that was flush with my balcony.

Being downtown was a real convenience because we could walk everywhere. The breakfast was phenomenal and we liked the rocking chairs outside. It felt very cozy. The room wasn’t completely clean and had a chew‑tobacco smell, and the bathroom had no ventilation.

Every time we come back, it feels like home again. The staff are always friendly, and the lobby always has fresh baked cookies right next to the microwave. They also hand out a little piece of cake when you check out that looks freshly baked, not store‑bought. The shower is always great. The only downside is that our room didn’t have a microwave or fridge, but we knew that before we booked.

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of everything, so I didn’t need to travel far or pay for parking. The decor felt very dated, with carpet transition humps everywhere, an uncomfortable bed, and old wood paneling. The bathrooms had been updated, but the shower was so narrow I had to turn sideways to wash my hair, and the water pressure kept fluctuating. Sprinkler pipes were exposed, and there weren’t enough outlets for everything.
