“Airport convenience at a good price.”

The place is very convenient and easy to find when coming on the DART orange line, just a short walk from the Hidden Ridge stop. We arrived this way, and we also used Uber to get back into Dallas, which was reasonably priced. The price of the hotel makes this a very good alternative to paying high prices for centrally based hotels. The shops / 7 eleven are a 10-15 min walk away, but it is an easy walk. It is a shame no breakfast is provided, but it is very convenient for flying in/out of the airport. The room was large and comfortable. Refurbishment was going on whilst we were there, so the place should be even better value for money when that's done. If you are happy with a basic but clean hotel, this should meet your expectations. We were very happy with our stay. The refurbishment going on didn’t disturb us, but made the place look a bit untidy.

I found the room incredibly comfortable and spotless, and it was a delight when the housekeeping staff cleaned the room on request and the view of the train line was beautiful. I was disappointed that there was only one chair for the two of us, and there were not enough spoons, forks, or knives for two people; there was just one huge pan for cooking, which made cooking inconvenient. The shower was poorly constructed, leaking both at the bottom and the top, when it should only leak at the top. I also wished the staff had replenished the soaps and shampoos during their cleaning visits, because we ran out early on.

Location, area was nice. Old, being worked on. My phone, and internet didn’t work. I reached out to the staff and never heard back. Also they have a good amount of washers and dryers for free use however only 1 washer and 2 dryers out of a room full of them are operational for the entire hotel. Despite me asking the front desk and not hanging the do not disturb door tag, I did not receive room cleaning once. I asked for new towels, and they asked me to bring my old ones down first. I wasn’t aware we had to do our own maid services as that wasn’t noted in the description. There was a cockroach in the dishwasher when I went to unload which I had personal cups and water bottles in that I decided to leave behind for being grossed out

“Terrible”

I would advise against staying here. Having stayed at several Sonesta properties over the years, this one is the worst. The customer service is almost nonexistent and the property is poorly managed. In early June there was a massive flood, so if you care about your belongings, stay elsewhere. The front desk and housekeeping cannot communicate basic information. I managed to get a partial refund from bookings for groceries, drinks, and kitchen items that were deliberately thrown out, even after I kept them in constant contact. This Sonesta is a disaster and they just don’t realize it yet.
