Metrolux City Contemporary Hotel

Ms. Kit Kat from the receptionist was very helpful. She gave me a room facing the courtyard (but lower 3rd fl). She let me check out 1 hour later and I could leave my suitcase at the hotel. She let me took shower before my departure to the airport at 7 pm. 1/ the carpets on the corridors are extremely dirty 2/ the sofa was spotty with dirts 3/ the walls int the room were dirty 4/ the door needs seal - when it's closed, it always make very loud noise. My surrounding neighbours kept banging the doors at 12 midnight till 2AM several times despite my request asking them not to be so loud. Finally i had to go to the receptionist to ask for another room but he said that they're fully booked. He came upstairs with me tough to speak with the neighbours. 5/ the room was in lower 3rd fl, where outside there were nightclubs. so till 2 AM it's noisy. Overall, I had only 3-4hour light sleep after long flight and 1 night stopover only in Ho Chi Minh. 6/ bfast was too standard. Pho Bo noodles which are common in each hotel was offered only if I would give them 5* rating which I won't - so I don't get the noodles ;-)

The stay was awful: the water was dirty, there was no water, the room had no toilet paper, and the cracks were filthy. I won’t stay here again.

This is my second time staying here; the place is near many tourist attractions, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the place looks nice. Unfortunately, a year after my first stay, it seems like the facility has not been taken good care of: the first room I stayed in smelled a little funky, the bathroom of the room I stayed in also seemed a bit neglected, and the beds were a little too soft for my liking.

The hotel is right in the city centre, easy to get around yet not overly noisy, with convenience stores right next door; it was tidy, and the receptionist was friendly and polite. The bathroom walls are glass, so you have to pull the curtain every time you shower, which is inconvenient; I stayed two nights and even though I left a “do not disturb” sign, housekeeping still opened the door without knocking. The soundproofing is weak, and at night I could hear chairs being moved upstairs and hallway noises.

“It is good bang for your buck.”

The location was good, and a convenience store across the street made getting snacks and water easy. The carpet had stains that were uncomfortable, and the shower in the bathroom did not have a glass pane, meaning it would flood everywhere.
