“Lovely rooms”
The warm room is lovely, the bed is comfortable, and everything you need is there—no complaints about the room itself. The problem was trying to find the place in the dark; I went to the wrong door/keysafe so it didn’t work. Certain staff members in the restaurant that was once linked to the hotel were rude, and no one suggested I was at the wrong door. I called the number once, another staff member signed me onto their Wi‑Fi, and the original staff member answered with, “I tell you last time, this is not the number, they need to update.” I hadn’t phoned before. In the end a local resident helped me, and they were fed up too. They had people knocking on the door at midnight trying to gain entry, and the gentleman upstairs said it had taken him an hour to get in—very stressful. It’s such a shame; once they sort this out, the rooms are lovely! The restaurant next door used to be Frankies, which I guess is where the confusion comes from. There is also no phone or email signal outside, so you can’t check the booking or call for help.
“Would like to have scored higher.”
The location was fantastic, the bed huge and comfy, and the shower hot with good pressure; a kettle and mini fridge in the room were nice touches. We arrived just after 3 pm, the official check‑in time, only to find the room not fully ready. The toilet, sink, shower, towels and bedding were clean, but the rest of the apartment seemed untouched for weeks: cobwebs in the bathroom ceiling and walls, dust on skirting boards and window ledges, a dusty wardrobe interior, and blinds that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for months. At £110 per night that’s a lot to pay for a room that isn’t spotless.
“No frills room in the centre of the village”
Not a great deal but we didn’t expect much. We stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby to Disley. It’s right in the centre of Disley opposite two of the main pubs in the village so it’s conveniently located in that aspect. Due its location on one of the main roads of the village, noise from traffic and pub goers is an issue, particularly if you’re stuck having to have the windows open due to it being so warm in the room. Room itself could have done with a more thorough clean too - wall mounted fan was caked in dust so had to clean it ourselves before using
“Was short but did the trick for us”
The hotel is central to where we needed to be, and parking is on the doorstep, which is very convenient. The rooms are very comfortable.
“Left after one night.”
The bed felt cozy, but the coffee cups were dirty, the bin hadn't been emptied, and the shower was only tepid despite good pressure; traffic noise was loud all night, and there was no local info—no food options, so knowing where to get breakfast would have helped.
