The location is excellent, the room feels clean, and though compact it contains everything needed; after checkout, having luggage stored was a huge help. Nothing to complain about.

The only downside is that living in Amsterdam later will be much worse and three times more expensive. Inside the hotel everything is perfect: central location, no noisy bars nearby, decent clientele, a bus stop 100e from the airport at Astoria, and a renovation that feels like a mentally healthy person’s work. The 10‑square‑meter room is very convenient, with a kettle, fridge, coffee maker, hanging space, a comfortable mattress on the second floor, and even an iron. Extras include thoughtful gifts from the hotel, sparkling wine, candies, a magnet, disposable slippers, and towels changed during a three‑day stay. Nearby is a tourist café New York, a Korean restaurant and Burger King across the street, the largest and cheapest Lidl a few minutes away, and a laundromat that takes three hours without your involvement to wash and dry clothes. Bonus for CIS residents: heating feels like home, not European. Everything else was great, very comfortable for the price. Minor quirks: if you shut the shower too quickly, the top tropical shower turns on and splashes cold water; the second tier is 175 cm high, so if you’re taller you’ll need to be careful getting up from the sofa. Nothing else to nitpick.

I was in the heart of the Jewish quarter, very comfortable and easy to reach key spots. The bathroom had a slight unpleasant odor.

The location is fantastic, a Nespresso machine is available, and there are luggage lockers. The room was very small, we stayed three nights and it wasn’t cleaned.
