“Chalet in een heel leuke omgeving.”

The surroundings were beautiful, and we received a lovely explanation about the nature in Colijnsplaat. There were also tasty restaurants and bistros nearby, and it was nice for walking. Shops and a bakery weren't far away either. The chalet itself didn't look thoroughly cleaned; it was warm, but not really. You could cool off by opening everything, but then you get mosquitoes.

The chalet was tastefully decorated, and the garden gave a sense of freedom, a little wild like “the Far West.” For bike lovers, it’s the ideal spot. The only drawback was the beach.

A quiet spot with its own private garden, complete with garden furniture, lounge chairs and an indoor sauna, plus a shower and a fridge with a small freezer; you can park right at the garden entrance and enjoy a comfy double bed, all within walking or cycling range of Colijnsplaat’s restaurants and terraces, with bike rentals available at Genuenta holiday park (bookable online, e‑bikes included); the area offers lots of charming sites and many beaches, and in summer the island buzzes with markets, harvest festivals, music and more, all of which you can find online, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about.

I loved the spot right by the sea in a peaceful part of town, but the surrounding area felt a bit neglected; we had to walk through an untrimmed garden to reach the apartment, and by the time we got to the car our shoes were soaked. The furniture was a bit dated, yet still usable.

The place was a calm, pleasant setting with a friendly owner, but it was dusty and filled with spider webs.
