“מיקום מעולה. תמורה טובה מאוד לכסף. הבחירה שלנו בפונשל”
The location is great, breakfast is very good, rooms are very nice, and you get great value for money. The parking isn’t close to the hotel – it’s a 7‑minute walk.

The staff are good, but the room is noisy and the bed and toilet are a bit messy.

The location is perfect, practically in the center. There’s a dedicated parking spot for hotel guests a few minutes’ walk away, but you have to book it in advance. We didn’t book the parking, the staff were very friendly and found a solution. Unfortunately we left very early and didn’t try any of the hotel’s services.

Central location and quiet at night. 24‑hour reception, you can check in at any time. Luggage storage available. Hard, comfortable bed. Efficient air‑conditioning. Very friendly, helpful, and smiling staff. The rooms are decorated in dark colours, making them feel overwhelming. The bathroom is tiny, with a shower‑in‑tub. The breakfast is modest. Overall the hotel needs a slight refresh.

The balcony of the superior room on floor 5 offers an amazing view, and the lobby is close to the old town, shops and bars, remaining quiet unless construction is nearby. It’s dated but has a pleasant vintage vibe. Towels are huge. The European breakfast is good (we only stayed one night, so I can’t comment on variety). A small fridge is included. They apparently listened to reviews about pillows, so we got a big pillow plus a smaller one for each bed. Overall it’s good for a 2‑3 night stay. The GPS isn’t entirely correct for the parking lot; it directed us to an unnecessary left turn – tip: look for a grey metal gate on the left about 20‑30 m before the street crossing. The staff will give the exact address after check‑in, so I’ll just upload a photo of the gate to find it easily. Some furniture needs renovation, but it still feels like a decent hotel once. The AC is efficient and ventilates the air almost unnoticed, but it rumbles loudly and deeply – something I’ve never heard before. It had its perks, though, as it outshone all other noises, providing a useful white noise for sleep (no earplugs needed). The fridge tried its best but was old and inside a cabinet, unable to cool efficiently. It would definitely benefit from more wall outlets. The lighting could use improvement – bedside lamps would add a lot, because all the other light options are too bright or point from the ceiling into the eyes when lying in bed.
